Nida Laurin, M.D.

Dr. Nida Laurin, MD has been practicing in Scottsdale for last 12 years. Dr.Laurin is board certified in Neurology and Headache Medicine, she is fellowship trained and CMSC certified MS specialist. She is an Associate Professor in Clinical Neurology at University of Arizona. Dr.Laurin treats wide variety of neurological and general conditions. Patients are always seen by the physician who carefully evaluates their condition and thoroughly assesses what tests are needed for accurate diagnosis and treatment efficacy. Electrodiagnostic tests are performed by the physician.


Dr. Laurin completed her education at the Vilnius University Medical School in 1993 with Honors Diploma (equivalent to Summa Cum Laude). She did Internal medicine and Neurology residencies at the Vilnius University, Lithuania. After coming to the United States in 1999, Dr. Laurin went on to finish Neurology residency at the University of New Mexico, where she also did fellowship in Multiple Sclerosis and Demyelinating Diseases. She also worked as an Attending Physician at the UNM Hospitals.


Dr.Laurin joined Banner – University Medical Group in 2017. She is teaching Neurology residents and treating MS and headache patients at Neuroscience Institute.


During her professional career Dr. Laurin did research in MS, transverse myelitis and lupus. She continues to participate in numerous clinical trials in migraine, insomnia, and multiple sclerosis. She lectures on a variety of neurological disorders such as epilepsy, fibromyalgia and other pain syndromes, headaches, stroke, spasticity, cervical and other dystonias, and multiple sclerosis.


Dr. Laurin was voted by her peers as” Top Doc” in 2017, collecting most votes among all neurologists. Her practice is ranked in top 10 by Ranking Arizona, the best of Arizona business magazine.
